We are pleased to announce the first broadcast dates of the documentary „Equator 360°“, for which the team of Ludwig & Loehn has composed the music .
On the occasion of the “equinox”, on September 22, 2018, ARTE will be presenting a multimedia theme day, celebrating the equator with a 12-part documentary, 360 ° films, and interactive VR applications.
The equator is the source of all life on earth, a 40,000 km long band, which connects continents, oceans and cultures. Twice a year, the sun is at its zenith – a moment without shadows. ARTE celebrates this day with a big, multimedia TV event. In 12 hours, the viewers immerse themselves in the Life at the Equator and experience fascinating moments with 360 ° films.
International film teams have been filming the equatorial region for half a year. They traveled three continents and oceans, filmed on land or under water and even captured breathtaking aerial images. The result was an unprecedented, 12-hour portrayal of this unique region.

Anlässlich der „Tag-und-Nacht-Gleiche“ präsentiert ARTE am 22. September 2018 einen multimedialen Thementag zum Äquator, mit einer 12-teiligen Dokumentation, 360°-Filmen und interaktiven VR-Anwendungen.
Der Äquator ist Ursprung allen Lebens auf der Erde, ein 40.000 km langes Band, das Kontinente, Ozeane und Kulturen verbindet. Die Sonne steht hier zweimal im Jahr genau im Zenit – ein Moment ohne Schatten. ARTE feiert diesen Tag mit einem großen, multimedialen TV-Event. In 12 Stunden tauchen die Zuschauer in das Leben am Äquator ein und erleben die faszinierenden Momente in 360°-Filmen hautnah mit.
Internationale Filmteams haben ein halbes Jahr lang das Leben in der Äquatorregion portraitiert – auf drei Kontinenten und Ozeanen, an Land, aus der Luft und unter Wasser. Dabei entstand ein noch nie dagewesenes, 12-stündiges Bild dieser einzigartigen Region.
